SwingStudio is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using SwingStudio, you agree to the practices described here.
When you record and submit a swing for analysis, the video frames are transmitted to OpenAI's API (GPT-4o Vision) to generate your swing score, breakdown, and coaching feedback. We do not permanently store your raw video on our servers. Swing results (score, grade, metrics, and coaching notes) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
When you log meals, photos of your food and any meal descriptions you enter are transmitted to OpenAI's API for calorie and macro estimation. Meal photos are not permanently stored on our servers after analysis. Nutrition results (calories, macros, meal logs) are stored locally on your device.
Your profile information (height, handedness, club selection, and handicap) is used locally to personalize your analysis. It may be included alongside video frames when sent to OpenAI's API to improve the accuracy of your coaching feedback.
Subscriptions are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system and managed by RevenueCat. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. RevenueCat receives a non-reversible purchase receipt and subscription status from Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Video frame images from your swing recordings and meal photos from nutrition logging are sent to OpenAI's API (GPT-4o Vision) for AI analysis. Profile data (height, handedness, club, handicap) may also be included to improve analysis accuracy. By default, OpenAI does not use API inputs to train its models. Subscription management and purchase verification is handled by RevenueCat. They receive your Apple subscriber ID and purchase status. Review RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

We use Mixpanel to collect anonymized usage analytics — such as screens viewed and features used — to help us improve the app. No swing videos, meal photos, or personally identifiable information are shared with Mixpanel. Review Mixpanel's Privacy Policy.
Swing results (scores, grades, metrics, and coaching notes) are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. You can delete this data at any time by deleting the app. Raw video is not retained by SwingStudio after analysis is complete.
SwingStudio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. API communications with OpenAI and RevenueCat are encrypted via HTTPS.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
